Haifa Research Lab IT group is responsible to provide IT services, integration and engineering solutions for all Data Center related technologies.
Services are provided to Haifa Research Labs and IBM Development Labs in Israel.
We are looking for full time employee for DevOps engineer position.
The DevOps engineer is responsible for the day to day operations of maintaining and supporting the physical and virtual aspects of
Linux, Cloud, and Storage infrastructure within IBM Labs organization in Israel. Automation, monitoring and scripting is part of the daily tool box of the DevOps engineer.
He/she will have the responsibility to design, deploy and support Cloud environments that are in the main stream of IBM Strategy.
Requirements
BSc in computer science
At least 5 years of relevant experience in the industry.
Ability to code and script
- Development skills in scripts languages as BASH, PERL, Python and Ruby.
- Development skills in Java is an advantage
Experience with systems and IT operations
Strong grasp of automation tools
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Practical experience as Unix Sys Admin
- Practical Sys Admin experience of Linux distributions as: RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu
- Practical experience of AIX is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of Fiber Channel storage/SAN.
Practical experience of backup technologies is an advantage.
Practical experience of Data Base technologies is an advantage.
Good understanding of Cloud concepts: IaaS, Paas, SaaS
- Practical experience with OpenStack Cloud technology is an advantage.
- Practical experience with SoftLayer Cloud technology is an advantage.
Good personal communication

A strong desire and ability to learn new skills
High level of English
